Options for Unique Cutting Services
Manufacturers commonly rely on quality die cutting services because of the low costs, high efficiency, and quick turn around times. The service is also widely used because it is versatile, meaning manufacturers have many options with cutting methods and types. The most frequently used die cutting methods include:
- Flatbed die cutting
- Rotary die cutting
- Digital die cutting
Each of the die cutting types has unique capabilities that allow for unique final products. The capabilities employed are chosen based on the needs of each manufacturer. Custom designed dies get affixed to specialized machinery that converts stock materials. We use a full range of materials to meet the needs of our clients. We offer the highest quality die cutting.
Cutting operations we provide include:
Through cutting is commonly referred to as metal-to-metal die cutting or thru cutting. A thru cut goes through the entire material. When die cutting plastics with an adhesive back, the die will successfully cut through the plastic face, the adhesive, and the backing material.
Kiss cutting is used when cutting lined materials. Kiss cutting cuts through the adhesive and face but leaves the backing material layer intact. Die cut designs are not separated from the stock material, but they can easily be removed from the intact backing layer.
Perforating produces a series of punched-in holes that keeps die cut designs in place on stock materials.
We work closely with each of our clients to understand their product and needs. We take pride in the custom die cutting services we provide.
